On June 10, the SAMPE China 2026 Annual Meeting and the 21st International Advanced Composites Exhibition grandly opened at the China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang Hall) in Beijing.
PGM made a strong appearance with its ULTRACUT series intelligent cutting machines and digital cutting solutions, focusing on the efficient cutting demands of composite and flexible materials. Together with industry partners, we explored new pathways toward the intelligent upgrading of composite material processing.
Focusing on industry demands and precisely aligning with composite material application scenarios.
As a benchmark exhibition in Asia for advanced composite materials, the event brings together full industry-chain resources across aerospace, new energy vehicles, wind power, and rail transportation. Leveraging its deep expertise in flexible material cutting, PGM precisely aligns with the industry trend toward lightweight, high precision, and intelligent development of composite materials, becoming one of the highlights of the exhibition. The booth attracted strong visitor traffic throughout the event.
Professional clients from aerospace, composite manufacturing, and automotive lightweighting sectors visited continuously. The technical team provided one-on-one explanations of equipment specifications, process adaptability, and real application cases. Key demonstrations focused on mature applications in carbon fiber structural components, composite interior parts, and auxiliary materials for wind turbine blades. Multiple preliminary cooperation intentions were reached on-site.
Hardcore exhibits assembled, directly addressing pain points in composite material cutting.
At this exhibition, PGM showcased two intelligent cutting systems designed for composite manufacturing applications—Ultracut_DHC and Ultracut_ML—along with a new industrial tool: the intelligent cutting robotic arm.
Each piece of equipment reflects PGM’s technological innovation in intelligent manufacturing. The intelligent cutting robotic arm can automatically recognize and pick up cut pieces, and, when integrated with an intelligent sorting and packaging system, works in coordination with CNC cutting machines, AGVs, and other equipment to form a fully automated production line.
This enables enterprises to achieve digitally driven manufacturing, reduce costs, and improve efficiency while promoting environmental sustainability and energy saving. It also supports the industry’s transition into an unmanned or minimally staffed era, realizing a more efficient and intelligent production model.
Dual-head simultaneous operation with zoned cutting eliminates idle time waste of the equipment, significantly improving cutting efficiency. It enables automated coordination from front-end design to production line execution, comprehensively enhancing production efficiency and flexible responsiveness.
In addition, optional IoT connectivity supports real-time data monitoring and efficient system linkage, ensuring full visualization and precise control of the production process.
Ultracut_ML Equipped with a Robotic Arm
The ULTRACUT-ML intelligent cutting system is capable of precisely processing a wide range of composite material substrates, including prepregs, woven fabrics, certain core materials, and sheet-based auxiliary materials. It ensures that each piece is cut with high efficiency while achieving a perfect cutting result, featuring smooth edges with no wrinkling or fraying. This significantly improves both production efficiency and product quality for manufacturers.
New Product Launch in Collaboration, Empowering High-Quality Development of the Composite Materials Industry
The SAMPE China exhibition is not only a platform for industry exchange, but also a starting point for technological innovation. At the concurrently held new product launch event themed “Innovative Low-Cost Domestic Composites Empowering General Aviation Development,” industry experts and corporate representatives engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as breakthroughs in domestic composite technologies and their application in general aviation. The discussions clearly defined the development direction toward cost reduction, localization, and large-scale production.
Leveraging its deep expertise and long-term accumulation in intelligent cutting, PGM delivers CNC cutting systems with high precision, high efficiency, and strong adaptability. These solutions precisely align with the development needs of low-cost domestic composites and the upgrading of the general aviation industry, empowering the growth of national industries with robust, high-performance equipment. Participation in this exhibition serves not only as an important opportunity for PGM to demonstrate its technological strength and connect with industry resources, but also as a key step toward deeper engagement in the composite materials sector and stronger industrial collaboration.
In the future, Shanghai PGM will continue to focus on the needs of intelligent manufacturing in the composite materials sector. With more advanced equipment, more comprehensive solutions, and higher-quality services, we aim to help the composite industry overcome processing bottlenecks and empower high-quality development in high-end fields such as aerospace and new energy. Together with industry partners, we will work to build a new ecosystem for the advanced materials industry.
